Herd Sires
Pin to Point Gelbvieh has strived to obtain and use herd sires that are proven in their predictability of traits. Every bull within our program must exhibit a balance between calving ease, performance, be easy fleshing and structurally sound. These herd sires are chosen for their superior seed stock and genetic qualities that we feel complement our cow herd as well as our breeding program with both the purebred and commercial cattleman in mind. RWGW Hastag 0447 ET was the bull that most impressed us from all of the bulls that were available in 2022. It is very difficult to find a bull with this much growth, squareness through his hip and depth of body. With a SC of 46 and topping the scale at 1950lbs at sale time he is going to add growth and performance to our main cow herd. Backed by Exact Combination and going back to Kitty’s Dream we are excited to be adding him to our breeding program. He will be used for natural service as well as our ET program in the future.

RWG Exact Combination 7409,Exact Combination or “EC” was the high selling bull out of the 2017 Gathering Sale and sold for $44,000 for ½ Possession to Prairie Hills Gelbvieh in North Dakota. He was a bull that we invested in early as he added muscle shape, performance, and an outcross pedigree into our AI program.
EC has added performance and natural muscle into his progeny. We have been very happy with the early maturity he has put into his bulls and the performance he has been able to put into our replacement females. This year we have 3 bulls sired by EC for sale in our sale.

JAB BERKSHIRE 409B,is a son out of JAB 1408. BERKSHIRE was our 2015 Canadian Bull Futurity Entry where we made it into the top four. He impressed a number of people with his overall capacity and maturity we are excited for his first calf crop this year.

JAB YORRIK 1408, is a bull that has added a great deal to our program. A structurally sound bull, with loads of maturity, he has added depth of body and natural thickness to his calves. We have several producing females that will clearly have an impact on our program moving forward.

JAB MIGHTY ZOTICUS 2309 ET, is a bull that has complemented our moderate frame cows well and has added some natural style to his progeny. JAB 2309 will have several females in production for the first time this year and we are excited about what he has left on our farm.

RWG Texas Worth 9223, was a long bodied deep made herd sire that was one of the most structurally sound bulls you could find. This dark cherry red bull produced some high quality females that we have in our herd today.

JAB Tornado T123, was a herd sire that was used for 2 years at Pin to Point Gelbvieh. You have to respect this bull for his overall depth of body and natural muscling. He has passed this on to his daughters, where several producing females have thoroughly impressed us over the years.
